Did you ever ride a pig?

Sounds like the start of a children’s song.  Well, I can say that I have not, but our son Will…yes, he can say he has and we have pictures to prove it.

Ride is a loose term.  Think rodeo.  Okay, not that extreme. Matt was holding Will when they went outside to look at pigs and just sat him straddling the pig's back.  Of course the pig wanted to run off, but not so much that she didn't allow him to do this a couple times.

In other news, it will only be another week or two before we have our first litter of piglets, which means we need to finish this naming contest.  We have had some great entries so far.

• Peanuts characters (PigPen, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, and Marcie)
• Miss Piggy and Petunia (Porky’s love interest)
• Combinations of (Hamm, Piglet, Poink, Professor Strangepork, Miss Piggy, Annie Sue (Piggy’s rival), Captain Hogthrob
• Wilbur for the Boar
• Names from A-Z in order to help the kids learn the alphabet
• Famous Redheads (like Lucy, Nicole, etc.)
• Race car drivers or owners, past and present

If you suggested another name to us, perhaps in person, and it isn't listed here, please send us a message or comment. There is another naming combination we received, but we can’t seem to find it in written form and are trying to figure out who suggested it.  Remember, this is a contest for a Fork Right Farm hooded sweatshirt.  There are still a few more days to share your name ideas.  Post a comment on this blog post, the Facebook page, or send us an email.
